About Joy

I am more than a real estate professional.

I am a proud Cantabrian, having lived in Christchurch since growing up in Southland. I love the geography, the people, and the amazing lifestyle we are able to live here. This pride of place translates into my passion for selling homes not only in my local seaside and hill suburbs, but throughout the city.

Outside of work, I spend as much time as possible with my family and friends. I am also a published author, painter and collector of emerging New Zealand artists, philanthropist, foodie (qualified Chef), member of a wine club, and I love travel.

I have strong community values, and have organised a fund-raising appeal for Jaxon Skews which raised $20,000 for his family. I created and published a book about his experience and raised $10,000 for Ronald McDonald House South Island. Philanthropy is a huge part of my life, and I have recently registered as a charity for pay-it-forward.co.nz which I intend to re-launch soon. I also volunteer on a monthly basis at the City Mission, cooking meals, which is very rewarding.

I am highly goal oriented, organised, thorough, and creative. I deal directly with problems and issues, and show excellent leadership with the ability to motivate both myself and my staff. With over $25 million in real estate sales during my career, including Sotheby’s Luxury property, I have a proven track record in sales success.

For the past ten years I have worked for the Canterbury Development Corporation as a business mentor, on a volunteer basis. I have won two business awards – Women in Business Award for Canterbury, and an SMI Gold Award for New Zealand.

“Joy was exceptional to work with delivering the highest level of service possible.”
